About the Artist

Dmitry Nikolayevich Kuznetsov, known by his stage name Husky (Хаски), is a Russian rapper born on February 10, 1993, in Irkutsk, Russia. He spent his formative years in Ulan-Ude, Buryatia, where he developed an early interest in literature and music. By the age of 15, he began writing and performing rap songs, blending complex rhyming schemes with somber and evocative lyrics.

In 2010, Husky moved to Moscow to study journalism at Moscow State University. During his studies, he worked with various media outlets, including NTV and Russia-1. However, he left the university before completing his degree to fully pursue a career in music.

Husky’s music often delves into themes of existentialism, societal issues, and personal experiences, drawing inspiration from Russian and European literature. His debut album, “Сбчь Жизнь” (“Sbch Life”), was released in 2013, marking the beginning of his solo career. He gained significant attention with his 2017 album, “Любимые Песни (Воображаемых) Людей” (“Favorite Songs of (Imaginary) People”), which showcased his distinctive style and lyrical depth.

Beyond his music career, Husky has ventured into filmmaking. In 2017, he released a short thriller titled “Психотроника” (“Psychotronics”), and in 2019, he presented “Люцифер” (“Lucifer”), a mockumentary reflecting on the challenges of fame and personal identity.

As of April 2025, Husky continues to be an influential figure in the Russian music scene, known for his thought-provoking lyrics and contributions to contemporary Russian culture.
